Summary: Samsung Will Honor Your Samsung Warranty bought throughAmazon Warranty
Comment: I was concerned about whether or not Samsung would honor the extended service plan after reading the reviews for both the 3 year plan as well as the 5 year plan. I called Samsung's support line and asked about whether or not they would honor the warranty bought from Amazon. He told me that as long as it was a Samsung warranty they would definitely honor it despite it being purchased through Amazon. He then gave me the number for their warranty support line as well. I called them just to make sure and a Samsung representative reassured me that Samsung would honor the service plan bought through Amazon.
Please disregard my vote as I have not purchased the warranty yet. And I have not made use of its service.

Summary: I once was blind but now I see
Comment: Great television, I shopped for a while and it came down to a 40" Toshiba and this Samsung. The Samsung had a better picture when I would look at them in stores and this price was the best hands down. The 30,000 to 1 ratio is incrediable you can get 40,000 to 1 and 50,000 to 1 but you would need to add about $100.00 to $150.00 per step up. At 44 I am not sure my eyes would be able to tell the difference. This product shipped promptly and I am very happy with it.

Comment: This seems awfully pricey for a supposedly quality product. If I were buying an unknown brand it might make sense, but unless Samsung's products are chronically defective, it seems like a losing bet.

Comment: It is easy to say that extended warranty is a rip-off but for large LCDs and other expensive gizmo this can really be a savior.
