Summary: There are better options
Comment: Caution, this TV is digital, but NOT HD.
It has a lot of wasted black space around the screen.
Pretty basic and not a very good value for what you get.
There are better choices out there. Look around.
Not recommended.

Summary: Great TV for its Purpose, Nothing Fancy
Comment: I bought this tv to replace an old analog on my wife's vanity before the digital switch. Great picture even though its not true HD. Lots of wasted space around edge of screen. Even smaller final screen size when watching a digital station and they box a low resolution program, ends up about 7" screen. Menu easy to use as well as remote. Has PC connect, but low res VGA connector. Has line out, but no headphone connection. It is what it is, a bare bones digital TV for occasional use.

Summary: Coby 10.2" You get what you pay for here
Comment: My wife bought this to replace a rather expensive Philips 9" CRT PRO935b301 that we bought several years ago for the kitchen. The Philips has been very dependable but takes up a bit of counter space. It has a simple pull out antenna, but is able to receive all the major stations including those on UHF. Someone broke the antenna connector a couple of weeks ago, so why not just get a whole new TV.
The COBY has a pretty good picture after you adjust it. The sound is very tinny, as has been reported. The frame is really pretty big for such a small screen. My big compliant and the reason I had to return it is the poor reception. I have 3 different antenna styles I have tried to use. One is your typical rabbit ears, the next is a UHF designed antenna from Radio Shack that I bought becuase it was suppose to be the best for UHF/digital reception, and the last is teh new Zenith type antenna. The only one that works is the Zenith, and that pulls in just the digital channels. But even so, the stations flicker constantly. It was just not comfortable to watch. I hooked it up to the cable connection and everything was fine. But I do not yet have cable in the kitchen, and I would hate to have to rent another converter box.
This is the second cheap flat small screen monitor I have tried and had to return because the OTA reception was so bad. It has been my experience so far that the better quality TV's seem to be able to get better reception. I bought a cheap 20" CRT years ago for the living room, and the reception OTA was always mediocre. I then paid a thousand for a 34" Panasonic widescreen CRT and the OTA reception was great. All with the same standard indoor antenna.

Summary: Works fine, easy to use
Comment: I had owned a Coby TV in the past and was not overly impressed. I was sceptical about trying this one, but it was the only one I saw in the size I needed. It is much better in quality and ease of use. I am happy with it.

Summary: Beware
Comment: I would have given no stars if possible. The size of this TV was perfect for what I wanted but I couldn't get any reception. I tried several different types of antennas (bought them and took them back) and different areas in my house--all to no avail. I can only assume this TV is defective. I tried to contact Coby for help but after waiting for 25 min. and being told I was next for a representative they sent me to voice mail and hung up. I tried again and waited even longer and the same thing happened again. I gave up and am sending it back.
