Summary: Great Quick way to set up a hometheater
Comment: I got this projector just to see what it was like. I was actually planning on buying a large screen LCD or Plasma but
the prices on these are going down so fast that I decided to wait, so I got the MovieMate25. The Idea that I can store out of the way when not in use was the buying factor.
I was actually very surprise on how quick the system was setup, but than even more when I saw the 80" screen the video looks very good and sound as well considering the small PKG.
Color tones are balanced and there really is little to do, other than Adjusting lens and pressing the Play button.
For those who whant to set up the system outside for the kids to whach a movie, no other projector will offer the ease of setup that this unit offer. This product also includes the screen, worth around $300 alone. This may not be the top of line projector, but it will satify even those who are very critical about video quality. This is a Winner!

Summary: Wow!
Comment: Moviemate 25 projector lives up to all the acolades in the reviews that I read before buying (both on this site and in tech websites). Not surprisingly, it is best used in very dark rooms. Picture is exceptional. Very easy to set up. My only reservation was that the screen was not included though the website indicates it is part of the package. Had to be purchased separately. Seller was very reasonable in addressing that issue.

Summary: A Great Start for a Home Theater System
Comment: This package has it all and it is a great system for beginners. I have a small living room and I did not want to move furniture around or clear a wall. You don't need to rearrange a thing when using this system. Just pull up the screen, plug in your projector and subwoofer and you are ready to go. The 80 inch screen is a great addition in this package. When you are done, you can hide the screen under a bed and hide the projector away in a closet. There are some negatives as it is not HDDVD compatible, and it does not accept component inputs. But most people will simply use it to watch regular dvds or hook up one's own video game system. It is an all-in-one system that is inexpensive and a great introduction to home theater.

Summary: GET THE EPSON MOVIEMATE, BUY ELSEWHERE
Comment: I am victim no.107 or thereabouts. I received the projector and subwoofer but no screen--like nearly everyone else who have voiced their experience, and the hundred some odd silent ones. I have nothing negative to say about the projector and/or subwoofer as they are definitely a great buy (assuming addition of screen) at under a grand. I had the Optoma MovieTime DV10 and the Epson is an all around better product (exclusion of component out is only bummer).
Unfortunately, Amazon repeatedly refused to take responsibility for the fact that the screen did not ship with the rest of the order; they first suggested the shipper was at fault, then they said it was the manufacturers responsibility and suggested I contact them to resolve the issue. The number they provided me with led to a recorded message from Epson that they were no longer offering telephone support on that line. Amazon offered to refund the purchase price but I don't want a refund, I just want the screen. And since the price jumped $200 overnight, I would be at a loss attempting to re-order. At one point I accepted an offer to replace the order (hope was that screen would ship with it this time). I hung up the phone with the promise that a new unit was going to be shipped. The next day I received an e-mail that rescinded the offer altogether, AGAIN suggesting that I contact the manufacturer! After several calls and too much time wasted I received an e-mail that stated the screen was located and would be shipping soon. 3 business days later I have yet to hear from Amazon or shipper.
My advice: Get the Epson Moviemate 25, it's an awesome deal for anyone looking for an entry level theater experience with an easy setup, and portable to boot. JUST DON'T BUY IT FROM AMAZON. BUY DIRECT FROM EPSON.

Summary: The search for good home cinema ends here!!!!
Comment: Just received the Epson Moviemate 25 with free screen last week- the screen is 80' and poor quality. Actually mine was broken but Amazon will send me a replacement. For now I am projecting the image on a big vacant wall in the basement. The quality of this projector will blow you away- it is just like sitting in a theatre- I am rewatching all my favourite movies and noticing so many things I never did although I have seen them many times on my 32' Sony tube HDTV. I highly recommend getting this projector- it is easy, lightweight and portable, economical at under $1000, inbuilt DVD player and speakers/subwoofer-although I do admit sound can be better. There is no need to spend $2-3K for a plasma/DLP/LCD TV - who wants to watch news in big screen- it is depressing enough on small screen. Plus if you have an HDTV tuner/antenna- you can probably connect it to the projector input - although I have not tried it as yet!!
