Summary: When every dollar counts!
Comment: Koss "The Plug" Portable Headphones are indeed best bang for your bucks!
This product still after many years still on the market tells you that people are still buying them for their reliability and excellent sound quality.
PROS:
[+] Best Sound for the money, well balanced bass, mids and highs
[+] Good construction and comfort
[+] Small enough to be tucked away
[+] Very good sound isolation and can be used in high noise environments
CONS:
[-] No con really but if you feel uncomfortable you can always modify the unit with other in-ear foams just use Google as your best friend
Note:
The new generation of KOSS Plug has slightly more hiss when you have very silent music the signal to noise ratio comes into play when there is improper impedance matching, I think it is due to the fact that they are now 16 ohms versus 32 ohms earlier? Correct me if I wrong.
This was my "Father's day" gift from my daughter, my earlier KOSS Plug earphones which I purchased 7 years back (which still works) had very disgusting foam material due to daily use and abuse which my daughter could not tolerate, Seeing me squeezing that dirty foam into my ears made her buy me a new set of earphones! The new foam materials are better and hope this will last a decade just as the other.
Buy with confidence these are excellent earphones!

Summary: good price and sound
Comment: I use these with my ipod nano while at the gym or doing yardwork. The closed-in ear piece helps keep out the sound of the lawn mower or chatty gym-rats on their cell phones. These also have the deepest bass of any other earbuds I've tried -- too much for some, but those that like rock or metal should dig 'em.
A couple things to note: A brand new set might have a few issues with falling out, but once the cushions are "broken in" they stay in the ear with no problems. Also, the cushions occasionally soak up sweat and become soft and pinched in the ear. Lastly, they are almost alway gross after use!
It takes a while to get used to the pressure in the ear, but I can't switch after getting used to these.

Summary: bad fit
Comment: I'm not sure if it's just me or if it's the phones themselves, but I have trouble fitting the cone-shaped cushions in my ears properly. The buds don't seat right in my ears, and fall out quite easily.
I prefer the traditional round ear buds which seem to fit my ears better.

Summary: Good sound and bass? No outside noise? Low priced? Look no further!!!
Comment: Awesome product.
Nice fit doesn't let the noise get in and music barely gets out.
Strong bass! Nice clear sounds!
You squeeze the memory foam ear plugs(which you can find replacements at Amazon) and when they expand they lock tight and they don't fall off.
Nice price!
Best headphones I've used yet... If there's better, it must have the same ear plug memory foam technology, good idea.

Summary: Highly recommended replacement for iPod headset
Comment: Having misplaced my iPod's earbuds (I suspect my wife, a manic cleaner, actually disposed of them in one of her patented cleaning frenzies-- but that's another story), I went shopping for a replacement. I was very pleasantly surprised to find a well recognized brand like Koss to be selling for such a low price! They were delivered yesterday and I have to say I am very impressed!
The sound quality is excellent and the fit is extremely comfortable. More so than the original, Apple supplied earbuds. Each earpiece has a small wraparound foam pad which both increases wearer comfort and blocks extraneous noise. Koss includes an extra pair of foam inserts-- which I will either lose or my wife will undoubtedly dispose of in another fit of household hygiene, but it is a bonus of sorts.
Based on both quality and pricing, I am thrilled with my new purchase. I recommend this product for those seeking a replacement for their iPod's earbuds.
UPDATE: I'm still enjoying my purchase, but there is one minor annoyance that I feel I must convey. While insuring comfort and filtering out noise, the foam inserts do have an irritating penchant for not keeping the earplugs in place, especially if you're moving around. I would thus deduct one star, were I able, from my previous five star award.
