Summary: Logitech presenter saves the day!
Comment: I was the session convener at a scientific conference when the pointer provided failed. A member of the audience handed her Logitech to the front of the room, I plugged in the transmitter and the laser and advance functions worked flawlessly for the rest of the session, on both Mac and PC computers. That's the toughest test for AV equipment I can think of - no setup, no training, it just worked intuitively for five speakers from multiple countries. I'm buying one for myself.

Comment: Just loved the idea of not installing any drivers or software to use this. Just plug and play. Helpful when any presentation runs from any other laptop than yours. Plug in the adapter in the laptop, laptop detects the presenter and yopu are ready to go. Vibrator on the presenter is an innovative idea but I don't use it much though.
Everything you would want from a remote presenter and more at a great price.
4 star because the cover which came along with this seems to be sub standard. One can see clearly that its stitches can come off anytime. Its one size small, but ok to go with..

Comment: This makes standup presentations much more effective. The range is over 50' so moving around and interacting with your audience is possible. The blank screen button quickly refocuses the attention on the presenter not PPT for impact. The volume control is convenient as is the timer to keep you on schedule. The only disadvantage is you can not use it like a mouse to click on a hyperlink in your PPT. This is a must for serious presenters.

Comment: I give a lot of presentations as a part of my job and the Logitech Presenter works really well and has a lot of nice features.
Pros: Start presentation button, blank screen buttons are handy for getting setup and started fast. The countdown timer with silent vibrate warnings is also very nice when you are in time-constrained situations. Storage of the USB receiver in the unit is also very convenient. Laser pointer is nice and the unit and its buttons are a good size for my hands.
Nice to have: Auto-off switch when you put the USB receiver in its storage slot in the unit. Right now there is a manual switch which prevents battery drain while not in use, but I could see potentially forgetting to switch that off from time to time.
Could be better: The soft case that comes with it is a good idea, but the one that came with mine is too small and the velcro closure barely reaches if I stretch it. Reposition the velcro and it would be perfect.
