Summary: Just what I wanted in a remote!
Comment: I won't waste your time with a long detailed list of all the Harmony's features, you can find those all over. What I will tell you is that this remote is super easy to set up with on your computer, it found all of my home theater components and worked with them right off the bat. But probably the best feature it has is the little help button and a screen. The previous universal learning remote we owned worked great, except if you turned it slightly or happened to step in front of it while it was setting all the components properly for what you wanted to do, if one thing got messed up, it was a pain in the butt for anyone other than myself to fix. My wife didn't really care for it. But now I can leave her alone with the Harmony, knowing that if something got set to the wrong input/channel/etc. she can just hit the help button, and it walks her through what might be the problem, usually fixing it on it's own. That to me made this good remote great.

Summary: Help that was needed
Comment: New HDTV in combination with DVR box, A/V receiver and DVD player was going to be a problem with the existing cable company remote. The Harmony 676 does it all. Setup was easy with just a little computer knowledge. Occasionally it doesn't perform the functions as requested but usually because of operator error and it takes very little to correct the problem. Battery life isn't great but you can bypass that issue with rechargeables.

Summary: My kids (and I) love it!
Comment: If it were up to me, we would have an Xbox instead. However, we bought the Wii for the kid friendly games. The bowling and tennis have been big hits for our family. We also bought High School Musical and Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii.
If you are going to upgrade the cables to component cables, might I suggest buying them from www.monoprice.com. Their component cables are only about $9 shipped, vs the $20-$60 component cables.
BTW, I broke out in a nice sweat in the boxing game. At least I won. And make sure your kids wear that wrist band. Now I can see how all those remotes ended up breaking TVs. Yikes!

Summary: Perfect remote
Comment: It works perfectly. I love this remote and once you get used to the software it is real easy to program. I have it running 6 devices and set up programs as HD DVD, where it gets my AV receiver, TV, and HD DVD player on and on the right channel and speaker set up. Just one touch when it took 3 remotes in the past. I have it connected to my blu-ray player and comcast DVR box. Speaking of Comcast DVR box, it allowed me to set a 30 second fast forward button, which comacast has taken out of all its remotes backing down to advertisers. Now I can fast forward in 30 second increments and back up in 10 second increments. No more commercials ruining a good show that I just DVR. This is my favorite feature that I use everyday. Great remote. One minor point is the light only last about 10 seconds and the glow button isn't in a great spot, so if your watching movies you can hit a wrong button. Very minor, once you get used the buttons it becomes second nature. I wish the glow button was on the side, like another remote I had, but this one is so much better. And the price on Amazon was AWESOME. I was a gold box purchase. Best remote I have ever had and I spend $200 on another that I never liked. This one is the one. I am waiting for another sale to get another for my Family room entertainment system.

Summary: Solid Remote - Eats Batteries
Comment: I was worried about the complexity to programming this remote and I was wrong. It is simple, and once programmed to your liking is a quality product. Only downside is the thing eats batteries!
