Summary: surprised by the web support!
Comment: this thing even controls my somewhat odd NAD components and my Playstation Two, and i didn't have to type a thousand little product codes into the keypad to do it. big thumbs up.
all my components were defined through the internet, and Logitech stored the info and programmed my remote through the PC software. it's a great system in terms of staying up-to-date and all, plus, when i requested something specific, Logitech made the change for me. all i had to do was re-synch the remote.
once i figured out how things were organized, i was able to program some very specific changes that worked really well on my setup. i'm very pleased.
if i have a concern, it's that Logitech retires the product or protocol and that i won't be able to program the remote any more, since it's so reliant on the internet interface.

Comment: This remote works better than the company supplied remotes. Set up is a snap with Logitech web site. As far as battery usage, too early to tell, but have feeling that this wont be major problem.

Summary: 2nd one and still a fan
Comment: I am completely happy with this remote. I have issues everytime I try to update it, but if I plug in the remote and reboot my computer before starting, it works perfectly. It was this problem that caused Logitech to send me this 2nd replacement remote. Turns out it's my Dell Dimension running XP home causing the problem.
We currently have it controlling a JVC home theater receiver, Dell LCD HDTV, DirecTV HDDVR, very old Panasonic VCR, and Impact Acoustics Fiber Optic Digital Audio Switch (that I was forced to buy non-Amazon since they don't sell a powered unit), and Playstation 3 (sets up all non-ps3 equip for games and movies)blu-ray, RCA lyra music streamer, and Sirius satellite radio. It controlls everything flawlessly!

Summary: Poor Amazon Service- Amazon Cancelled my Order
Comment: Ordered product at 59.99 price in August. Like Kenny30, had very poor service from Amazon. First the product was backordered to Sept 5. Ok. Then on Aug 30 I missed an email saying that if I didn't confirm by Sept 6, the order would be cancelled. Then I got an email on Sept 6 cancelling my order. When I complained to Amazon, they said, we don't know your discount, sorry. When I called Amazon, they had the discount order price, of course, but said, well, we couldn't fulfill them all because some we had were broken. What do you mean, I asked, you're listing them on your site right now Sept 15, and I presume making money off them? Oh, no Amazon said that's through a vendor using our storefront. I asked are you not making money from that vendor today? Answer: Yes, we are. So why can't you honor my purchase order? Well we try to fulfill, but we can't always predict demand. Duh-- that's why we do business with you, Amazon, anyone can put up a storefront and advertise goods they cannot fulfill.
So far, no product, and no help from Amazon. Now, I wonder from Kenny30 whether Amazon's fulfillment process will be broken for other items, too, without recourse.

Summary: Awesome remote Horrible Customer Service from Amazon/India
Comment: I ordered this a month ago and finaly received it today.Got it when it was 59.99 said it was in stock when I ordered but when I called after 2 weeks they said it was on back order.They never once called me or emailed me to let me know.I called to find out what was going on after that I got a email every 3 days telling me if I didn't approve the new arrival date they would cancel my order!!I had to play there game for 2 weeks!! I did buy it from Amazon itself.Call center is in India and they had no idea of what customer service is.
Besides that this remote is awesome not only does it control your TV DVD Stereo and cable it also changes the source automatically!! No pressing different buttons I only press 1 and everything works want to watch DVD's press that button and it changes the input turns on the DVD player and switches the mode on the surrond sound with one push.I love it I am glad I went through the hassle but I will probably never shop here again unless it is a price I can't refuse:)
