Summary: The TRUE Universal Remote
Comment: I'm not one to write many reviews, but this remote is truly worth the money. After trying and struggling with "Universal" remotes (what Universe?), I thought I'd take one last stab at getting something that would work with everything. Past remotes would only work with a few of my devices or work with everything but not give me all of the functions of the original remote. (I have a Technics CD changer, DirecTV DVR, Panasonic TV, Toshibe DVD, Sony VCR.) The Harmony 880 controls everything AND every feature works on every device. Set up is easy and Logitech will continue to add to their 5000+ device database. Shop for price! I got this one from Amazon new for $119.00. The prices seem to change like the stock market. Amazon had it for $139, Circuit City for $119. When I was about to buy, I checked Amazon one last time and it came to $119 with free shipping and no tax! If you're tired of wasting your money or juggling remotes, then consider spending a little more for something that actually does as advertised. I'm sure that the less expensive Harmony's would have done the trick too, but I liked the LCD on this one. I'm not having charger issues like others, but what I received works well. The new one has just 2 charging contacts and it sounds like Logitech will take care of you if you have problems. I've dealt with Logitech for mouse / keyboards in the past and they were always great to work with. My only problem is that when I use my CD player, the remote wants the TV on. I'll contact Logitech on that minor issue, but it's probably my error on setup. Again, this is the BEST remote I've ever found and it lives up to the hype!

Summary: Fantastic
Comment: The Logitech Harmony 880 is an absolutely fantastic buy. Considering how much you pay for other "Universal" remotes that are really not universal at all, you can't go wrong with this product. I've had mine for a little over a year now and I still have friend who are amazed at how great this thing is. The device database is constantly updated and configuration is very simple. I've long been a fan of Logitech products as they have always exceeded my expectation. This is another feather in their cap as far a my experience is concerned. Keep up the great work Logitech.

Summary: Super easy universal remote
Comment: Even though I have been using this remote for a scant one month period I am totally in awe by how easy this remote is to use. This is my fifth Universal remote and replaces an very old circa 2000 year Sony Remote Commander.
Setup went without a hitch and it controls all of my devices. Currently I have 5 devices this remote is controlling: A Phillips 42" LCD HDTV, Time Warner Cable DVR, TIVO Series 2 with recorder, Samsung 1080p upconvert DVD player and Nintento Wii (only for TV switching since the Wii is bluetooth based and this remote is not).
I am very happy with the speed of operation. It would take me close to 3 seconds to get my Time Warner cable DVR to go to 3x forward which the Harmony can accomplish in under a second. All of the button operations are present and needs no scrolling through screens or such. If there is any functionality that is amiss I am yet to find it.
The only issue I have had so far is that for some reason it seems to think my Phillips LCD HDTV has only two HDMI inputs whereas it has three. This leads to having to use the help function about 50% of the time when I have to switch inputs. In this same regard it takes a really long time sometimes up to 20 seconds before it can cycle through all the inputs. I don't believe that is a problem on my TV since the TV remote can cycle through the inputs pretty fast using the arrow keys.
The backlight is excellent and it feels weird to call a remote sexy but this one definitely falls into that category. Even my wife who is a big critic of any technology item I get (read technologically challenged) is a big fan of this remote.
One last note: My four year old is able to operate this remote on his own without any help.
Lastly, had it not been for the TV operation part which I might conquer one of these days when I have time, I would have given it 5 stars. Neverthless four stars is a very high rating from me and should speak volumes of my satisfaction with this universal remote.

Summary: awesome remote
Comment: Have had the Harmony 880 for more than 3 weeks. Easy to set up, user friendly using PC connection. Works well, great price from Amazon. Looked at several models in the sub $100-150 range. This has been awesome remote for the kids!
