Summary: Logitech 880 vs DishNetwork remote
Comment: 880 pros: rechargeable battery; activity window; fast help response.
cons: 1. buttons small, recessed, as opposed to DNW protruding controls.
2. Remote "fixes" recording light after each session by asking, "Is it off now?" On DNW remote, each activity can be controlled separately.
3. Even with technicians help, lengthy installation of remote info.
4. Double the cost of a replacement DWN remote
Verdict: DishNetWork users should NEVER switch to Logitech 880

Comment: I ourchased this product to replace three remotes. I was very pleased at the ease of setup and the over all operation of this remote. I would recommend this remote.

Summary: Very Happy!
Comment: I am one of the many who had way too many remotes sitting on the shelf next to my theater seat. The Harmony 880 changed all of that.
In the past, I have not had a lot of luck with Universal remotes as I have several older components that have been difficult to mesh into a single remote.
Being able to check component capatibility on the Logitech website was great because I knew it would handle all of my gear.
The backlighting is perfect for the darkness of a home theater.
While the buttons are a little on the small side, being able to customize the screen buttons for the functions I use most took care of that issue for me.
With a choice of 8 different activities on a single screen, the 880 has earned a very high "wife approval factor". She loves being able to push one button and have all our equipment come to life and do what she wants it to do.
Unlike earlier models, I have not had any problems with the charging cradle and am happy to have a "place" for it so everyone knows to put it back where they found it.
All in all, I am glad to have finally found a true universal remote that is both easy to use and reasonably priced.

Summary: Great remote for those with good eyes
Comment: This is a great remote that I got for my dad. I set it up so that it can control the bluray player, tv, receiver and the cable box. I set it up no problem but he was still slightly confused by the menu system. It was confusing for him because its hard to grasp the fact that you need to be in the correct device in order to use some functions.
For me, as a part of the younger generation, this remote is very intuitive and easy to set up. The ability to create 'activities' is useful so that I do not have to manually change the devices to all the correct inputs.
The only problem with this remote is the layout of the silver buttons, the text is hard to read and for those with small hands it may be hard to reach across the remote with one hand.

Summary: Great product
Comment: Very easy to use and simplifies the whole process of multiple components. Worth the price.
