Summary: Best price remote
Comment: This remote is given to every customer in any custom home theater that my company sells. It does every function available and stop unnecessary service call. A $75,000 home theater one harmony one and a $1000 space ship.

Summary: Doesnt do what I need it to
Comment: I purchased this product about 1 month ago. The interface is rather basic which may be good for some. However, what I wanted was a simple function to wait 10 seconds before performing the next command. It cant be done. Logitech support has been helpful but they modified my profile so that it wouldnt do anything else but what they programmed it to do. My modifications had no effect. I just need something more. I will return this item for a Philips Pronto. Also, this remote locks up from time to time.

Summary: Performs as Advertised
Comment: I read about many alternative solutions to the multiple malfunctioning remote problem and decided to risk spending the asking price of the Harmony One on the off chance it would actually work as advertised. It does! Initial setup was a little time consuming, but that's true of all learning universals, and was user friendly throughout. The form factors, ergonomics, and button placement logic are all intuitive, and the touch screen activity macro and customizable buttons are large and easy for everyone in our family to use. Not all of them could have done the setup as quickly, but all are able to use the remote equally easily. Most other learning universals cost more and have either more setup or less successful ergonomic design, or both. After a month of use, this seems to be a good value.

Summary: Simply the best...
Comment: ...I've had this remote since May. I've used it sparingly, (I don't trust my two year old daughter around it), so it serves as MY remote after she goes to bed at night. I can say this remote is amazing. I have never used such an easy remote. Also, add in the ability to add icons for your 24 favorite channels, it's a snap to change right to them. I can't personally remember all the channels anymore, so this feature is amazing.

Transfering from my other Harmony (Xbox 360 branded) was fairly cut and dry, I couldn't be happier. $250 may seem a tad steep, but it's worth it in each and every way. I will be using this until the Harmony Two comes out I'm sure.

I use it to control my bedroom setup, my living room theater setup, my Xbox 360, my outdoor theater/projector setup, watching DVD's, and listening to the radio. The outdoor setup isn't as smooth as it could be, I rushed through the setup of that. It does support my projector, my reciever, and the 360 out there, I just have to tweak it a bit, to get it running flawlessly.

Summary: Cheap plastic buttons - Inconsistent
Comment: For $200.00, the least you would expect are rubber type buttons with a nice tactile feel, the high quality type that you find on Tivo's top of the line remote and Sony's remote. Instead, the buttons are made of cheap plastic and have the feel of a a $29.00 organizer you might buy at Walgreens. The keys on the remote and the remote itself are slippery and the ergonomics of holding the remote appear to fit the hands of a species not of this earth. It is much easier to press the buttons on my Sony or Tivo.

Its also very easy to press the wrong item on the LCD as the choices on the LCD are very close together.

The main thing this unit is good for (when it works) is turning multiple components on or off in sequence. Because the remote is clumsy to manipulate, turning the components all one as programmed often doesn't work. There isn't much tolerance for not aiming it at the sweet spot of your components which you have to determine by trial and error.

The macros are nice, but the unit is slower than the native remote, ie the Tivo so it somewhat offsets using the macros. Once I turn on my components I now just start using the Tivo remote until I am ready to turn all my components off.

Essentially, for me this is a $200.00 device to turn my components on or off.
