Summary: Warning: Metal Part Of Audio Cable May Break Inside Your Connectors
Comment: First and foremost let me warn you that the tip of one of the audio cable broke off. I noticed this when I unwrapped the cables. Had I put that into my sound card and had it break off in there I would have been very very upset. Wonder if they'll send me new cables?
Second, the bass is not that good. It's probably the best available for a computer, but it doesn't produce very deep bass.

Comment: I Love these speakers... Now I want to clarify they are not no bose but for there price they are deffenatly worth the money! I read several reviews on this product before I bought it and decided that some people just dont know what they are talking about... I highly recomend to have a computer or amp that is made for 5.1 surround sound or above it still will work other wise but need to put it on stero 2x... Anyway bottem line is great speakers need to adjust some of settings to make it great but thats not to hard to do!

perfect sound, good bass, i love the remote, good quality.
It is heavy, but thats no problem.
I use it everywhere, in my desktop, laptop, wii , xbox360. Its great! i have this system and an LG dvd 5.1 surrond system in my TV. I have 14 speakers and 2 buffers in total ( the Z5500 gives allot better sound) and the combination is AWESOME!!!! I would like to try 2 of the Z5500 in the same tv. that would be the ultimate combo!

Summary: After 5 months of owning this product...
Comment: I have finally stopped jamming my music to this booming system. I love how the surround sound is REAL and not VIRTUAL (or fake). There are outputs behind the control piece (orange-sub, green-fronts, black-rears) so each channel is actually carried out instead of remixing the sound to make it sound like surround. The amount of options on it allow you to customize sound pretty much to the T. I am able to drown out my roomies' music and i piss off people above and below me when I feel like showin out. Only bad thing is that the bass doesn't fully kick in until it is turned up pretty high. At low levels the bass doesn't knock like it should. But at 1010 watts under $250, it doesn't get too much better.
So basically the pros:
huge sound
relatively cheap
saves space (internal amp)
remote
control of amount of surround sound, bass, panaroma, and presets as well
control of center channel as well for optimum balance
cons:
bass doesn't hit hard when volume isnt almost at halfway up
hard to move the sub
hard to move when placed in the box (55 pounds..I lift weights and found it somewhat a mission to move this thing when it's in the box)

Comment: Best purchase i've ever made. Speakers are really easy to set up. Sounds amazing. Comes with a remote that lets you adjust the center or surround sound. Best part about it is the Subwoofer. HUGE! Bass just hums! Amazon has the best price on these. I saw them at frys for 349.99! Buy it on Amazon now!
