Summary: Excellent TV
Comment: I have had this TV since nov 2007. Great TV. Replace another HDTV 65" Mits that was older model crt projection. It also was a very good TV, but this one is awesome. PS3 and XBOX 360 are awesome, except the 73833 cannot do 1080P thru component. Good color range, good to average SD as expected. The best DLP Ive seen for SD, but not on the level of a good BRavia LCD flat panel. Have hooked up to HDMI directv. Very versatile TV with inputs, but no VGA. Hooked up the firewire to record OTA HDTV thru their scheduler and have the Directv DVR HD. The USB in front works ok to marginal for photos, kind of slow. Better to network your satellite reciever for this. Kind of slow changing inputs. I should get a better home theatre receiver. Having a 73 inch screen with near Bravia type picture is priceless.

Summary: Best HD Picture I have Seen - Now viewable in bright room
Comment: This is my third Mitsubishi and the picture blow me away. I purchased their first HD compatible projection model but never saw HD because you needed a $1,500 upgrade to actually get HD and I could not get OTA HD signal which was the only way to get it back then. Then I got a 62825 Diamond Line with built in DVR. DVR didn't work well and I hated the TV Guide interface. Mitsubishi replaced my 62825 with the 73833 as an extended warranty replacement and I am unexpectedly blown away by the picture quality! HD signal via Direct TV is amazing as is blu-ray picture via Sony PS3! I think Mitsu is using a brighter bulb because this is the first rear projection set that has a great picture in a bright room! Mitsu reduced the size of the frame around the screen considerably.

Summary: Superb TV
Comment: This TV is just fantastic. Ordered it Monday from Electronics Expo and it showed up the following Saturday (Tuesday was a holiday). Only note (definitely not a complaint) is that if you take the free shipping option from Electronics Expo, you will need to move the TV into your house yourself, they just get it off the tailgate for you -- it's not like the white glove shipping that Amazon provides). This isn't too big of an issue as the TV is actually pretty light and my son/I easily handled moving it around.
Back to the TV... I've watched 1080i HD input from my Dish VIP-722 DVR (the Redskins/Seahawks game last night) which was like wow... and that's after having a 720p HD for the past year (so 1080i is a dramatic improvement over 720p). I also watched the Matrix HD-DVD (via my XBox 360) which was even sharper (1080p) and the output was fantastic. Nice dark blacks, wonderful color coverage. Good picture in dark, lighted, and daytime light. Even turns back on very quickly after being accidentally turned off (many DLPs have to wait a bit on the lamp following being turned off).
On top of all that, the thing just looks so sleek -- especially ontop of the Mitsubishi MB-73PB Matching Base for WD-73734/WD-73733.
I can't speak to the built-in tuner, nor the built-in speakers as I use an HDMI switching surround sound AV receiver (which, really, is the only way to enjoy HD, if you ask me).
In summary, great looking tv with superb picture. Definitely recommended.
