Summary: It works!!
Comment: Like a lot of people who have written reviews, I've been looking for an IR re-transmitter. I have tried the pyramid one and one that attaches to the front of the remote. I even tried a combination video sender/IR re-broadcaster. None of these had much of a RF range and the video sender IR did not work at all. I had seen the "Next Gen Remote Control Extender" last year but dismissed it. After reading the reviews here I decided to give it a try. It works perfectly. I'm using it in the silver remote that came with the cable box. I can use from anywhere in the house. The key presses respond instantly. The unit has very good range. The only thing I had to change was the A-B-C setting on the "flying saucer" from the factory default of B to A in order to get it to work Comcast supplied Scientific Atlanta 4200 cable box. Highly recommended product.

Summary: Works as advertised
Comment: I was actually surprised it worked but it does. I have a decent universal remote with all of my components in another room off of my media room and it works well

Summary: Better than expected...
Comment: Using this to control a Time Warner cable box that is hidden in a closet. Worked first time with no issues - - Doesn't even need the included sensor. Great solution.

Summary: Really Neat Product
Comment: This is a relly neat product. This type of product seems to be a well kept secret as not many people I know have heard of a "remote control extender." To summarize, the product worked well right off the bat. Thi only "problem" I've had occurs when the remote control is used within a few feet of the base/extender unit. The instructions are written in VERY poor English, but you can still figure it out. I highly recommend both the product and the seller. Shipping and packaging were well done. I would purchase this product from this seller again if needed.

Summary: A waste of money.
Comment: This booster only works if you change the 2/3 battery every day. After trying every location and position possible, I discarded it and bought the Microsmith Hot-Link. It doesn't try to switch IR to RF and then back again to IR. Too Mickey Mouse!
