Summary: Looks Better on My Wall
Comment: It looks better on my wall than with this screen.
This screen is dark unless you are looking from dead-center so all those lumens you are paying for go to waste.
If you are sitting in a position where the light reflects directly off a glass bead then you are going to get a "sparkle" at that spot and have to move to get rid of the artifact. I'm not impressed and regret purchasing this screen.
I'd return it but the thing is huge and I threw out the box assuming I wouldn't need to return it. I would suggest looking further.

Summary: I love my home theater
Comment: My wife and I decided to by the Optoma DV10 Movietime Theater as a less expensive alternative to a Plasma screen TV. It was also recommended to us by a friend who loves his as well. We have 3 Kids. For a family of 5 to go to see a new release at the theater it costs about $60 with drinks & popcorn. At the time we bought our DV10, Optoma was running a special, $100 rebate, Free Sub-woofer (awesome!) and a free 90" Grey Wolf II screen, all for $800 bucks. You can't beat that with a stick! When you do the math, this thing will pay for it self after just 14 movies. Rent, buy, or barrow from friend, (or the local library thanks to old Ben Franklin). In any case this home theater is great! My whole family loves it. There are a few things to be aware of though. First, you really need a "DARK" room to take full advantage of what this thing can do. We chose this projection medium over plasma because it gives you a MUCH! larger picture for the money, but like any theater, darker is better, unlike Plasmas. Because the mail in rebate, Sub-woofer, & Screen where sent by mail we used the Optoma DV10 by it self for the first 2 months with great results. It sounds pretty good stand alone and the picture quality on my wall was great too. I painted the flat wall surface with Sherwin Williams Promar 200 (Satin finish) (Color: Vellum). I must say I was a little disappointed when I got the Grey Wolf II screen. I thought I would see a huge difference in picture quality and I did not. I disagree with other reviews that there is too much gain. Maybe too much contrast, but the screen seemed much darker than just my plane wall. What was also an annoyance was that the screen intensity seemed to change as you stand up from your seat (Much like the picture fade from right to left on the old back projection TV's). We noticed it while getting up to go to the bathroom during a movie. The difference between standing and sitting on the floor is very noticeable, where my wall did not have this problem? I'm not sure why this screen does this but I can't say I'm crazy about that particular characteristic. Another problem we had with the screen is that it does not retract very well. It should retract just like window blinds but it takes us up to 10 try's every time we try to roll it up. Very very annoying! All in all, the screen is still OK and the whole system works great. At home you never have to worry about some ignorant big guloot parking himself right in front of your kids so they can't see during a family movie at a theater you paid $8.00 a head for. I love this thing!

Comment: I purchased this 92" screen as part of a budget-minded system. Ok, let's just call it cheap. It includes an Optoma HD70 projector & Oppo DVD player. I give the product a high rating because of its value. I just could not justify spending $500 and up for my 1st screen. I can always hop onto the upgrade-treadmill later. So far, I must say that it is a fantastic experience watching movies at home on such a big screen. I compared the image projected onto the screen vs. the wall alone and I highly recommend getting any kind of screen you can afford as the picture will be so much better. In my case, I am able to get the room very dark and I find any white images to be almost too sparkly. In hind sight, I would have gotten a low-gain screen instead. This one has a gain of 1.8 which I didn't realize at the time could have been too much. I also notice a couple of undulations or ripples on the lower right corner of the screen which I can't seem to get rid of. They are only visible at a very sharp viewing angle and don't bother me at all during movie time. My overall enthusiasm toward having a home theater probably has as much to do with my recommendation than the product, itself, but what can I say? My wife & I love it.

Comment: Okay, I might be a bit too excited about the investment part, yet nonetheless this screen was a great price/quality ratio.
I highly recommend acquisition of a screen as projection on a wall will result in a rather poor picture quality. This particular screen has a gain of 1.8, which means that the contrast is rather high, which again enhances the viewing experience.
I got this screen for 129$ + free shipping in February of 2006. I consider that to be a pretty good price. I got another one for a friend of mine for 179$. There were two models advertised at the time - one for 179$ and the other one that was 299$. Went to Optoma's website and was unable to find any differences between the two...
So, long story short - it's an 'a must' thing to have for your home theater. Watch for the price! And of course, enjoy your home theater.

Summary: Theater At Home
Comment: I had made a screen using material purchased at a fabric store which material is commonly used for backing curtains. I found the plans online. My homemade screen worked well but still the overall picture was lacking clarity, color balance and that "theater look". After researching for weeks, browsing many sites, I decided on this one. I couldn't be happier. The picture is phenominal. I use a Sony VOL-HS20 projectof for TV and DVD. When using an HD signal football games are out of this world. DVDs are great as well. I highly reccomend this product as an inexpensive yet high quality screen for home theater.
