Summary: After one year...
Comment: I bought this TV in May, 2007. Here are my thoughts after a year.
All the out-of-the-box delight and astonishment expressed in most of the reviews here reflect my first impressions as well. This display performs almost as well as a $15K Fujitsu.
Still, it's an expensive display and, for those who are hesitant, I want to add that after a full year daily use - all sorts of content sourced through satellite, DVD, and over-the-air - I'm still stunned every time I view this screen!
I've experienced no service problems, no permanent burn-in, no loss of picture quality or color vibrance.
When you first start using the display, this may freak you out - temporary burn-in can occur if, for example, a static device display (like "DVD PAUSE") is left on screen for more than a few minutes. This burn-in will be visible on the blank screen if you then power down.
NOT TO WORRY.
The next time you watch, the excitation of the pixels and the pixel-shift technology used by Samsung "erases" the burn-in. I have not seen any burn-in induced by simply pausing program material (though Samsung cautions against that).
You'll want to add home theater sound to this set. You don't have to, but you'll want to. So be ready to spend a little more dough beyond the set itself. And prepare to buy a Blu-Ray disc player for the absolute best picture you've ever seen in your house. (Wait a bit; new Blu-Ray models are coming soon and they'll be better and less expensive than the first generation players out now).
One last suggestion. Get the best quality sourcing you can. This display will make poor transmissions glaringly obvious.
If you're on satellite, get DirectTV. I was on DISH and switched. DISH's standard-definition transmission was virtually unwatchable on this TV - I actually preferred the picture on an old 32-inch CRT. DTV's standard-def is crisp and clear. But what you really want is High-def. DTV is offering the best HD selection right now. Cable systems vary widely, so if your on cable, you'll have to evaluate your own service. But if your watching this set, and the picture isn't superb - as good as watching a DVD - you need to change providers.
In sum, if you want the best picture by far for the price, and you're willing to accept the additional cost of upgrading you're programming and sound system, this is your TV!

Summary: Awesome TV
Comment: Awesome TV, we ordered it on a Friday and it was delivered the next Friday. White glove service was good, but they only had one guy come deliver it, luckily I was home and was able to help lift it onto the stand. The TV is a beast, I feel like I just replaced a wall in our living room with a screen. 1080p picture is great, we use DirecTV HD, Bluray and HD-DVD, all look great, but Bluray will drop your jaw. Havent judged the audio since we use external speakers. Its a beautiful TV, delivered very quickly, great price, but make sure someone that can help lift it is home when CEVA come to deliver it. 9.5/10 overall (0.5 deduction since I had to actually get off the couch to help lift it...)

Summary: Excellent TV/Great Value
Comment: The Samsung FP-T6374 TV is awesome. The 1080p picture quality is superb on this 63 inch plasma TV. The audio is awesome too. The TV is equipped with some great features. For the money and the size of the TV, you will not find a better plasma TV. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Summary: Awesome HD Plasma Gives Great Home Theater Experience
Comment: I wanted to wait until I had used the set for a while before writing a review. Eagle Freight delivered my Amazon purchased FP6374 right on time back in mid-January, and did an excellent job of bringing it inside. Once unboxed and set into place inside my built in entertainment center, I connected my local cable company's HD box and fired it up. After moving past the initial setup prompts for first time power-on, I systematically clicked through most of the HD content channels to check the picture, and was amazed at the brightness, color, and detail simply using the default settings on the TV. During the past few months of viewing this TV now with multiple input sources and adjusting it to my own tweaked settings, I'm now even more impressed. After adding a Denon AVR (2808CI) and an Infinity surround sound speaker system (Mod.1200), watching HD movies on this set in the comfort of my home is (IMO) better than going to the local cinema! Aside from the lowest price online ($4,332.00 to my door back then), Amazon service during purchase and delivery was outstanding and is some of the best in the business. Highly recommended!

Summary: Great TV, but had to wait for repair
Comment: The first TV would turn itself off and come back on frequently. After 3 repair visits Samsung sent another TV and it wouldn't turn on at all, DOA. Amazon offered a full refund, Thanks AMAZON, but I wanted this TV to work. When the first one was working it was spectacular and I couldn't find another TV to rival it. Samsung sent another one and its great. They sent this one special delivery and all delivery folks were great. I would do it again despite my difficulties. I waited till the new one has been working now for 3 months before writing this. Samsung also extended my warranty an additional year for my trouble.
