Summary: Great TV, Great Service!
Comment: I was a bit hesitant to order a TV from an online retailer, but I took the plunge. The entire experience has been great, from contacting amazon for questions and assistance in deciding exactly what I needed for my setup to the very kind and helpful delivery man.
I must say that this TV has a stunning picture and is a great value overall!

Comment: I ordered this tv on Feb 18th after months of research, with an estimated delivery date of Feb 27th. I received a call from EGL on Feb 21st, and had my tv delivered that afternoon! Excellent delivery, they were helpful and on time. Very pleased so far, have it hooked up to my HD DVR and Xbox 360 both through HMDI (360 set at 1080p). I noticed a little humming from a fan when very bright colors are on the screen, but I am still amazed every time I turn this thing on. Very happy I made the purchase and have no regrets.

Comment: I was very hesitant to order a T.V such as this HD Samsung over the internet. I was using Amazon as a tool for reviews and research. I then saw the price and couldn't believe. I didn't believe it so I called Fry's and asked what was going on - something has to be wrong with the T.V. I went to Best Buy and all they had was the 57 I believe and the guy said they don't carry the 50" in Slim-Depth until later this year and the price was close to 2,000 (700 more than I paid).
I took a chance - and let me tell you I have never looked back since! Great service, EAGLE delivery called and made sure I was home and even did a Saturday morning! The T.V is quite and brand new and beautiful!

I'd been reviewing televisions for almost the last year now. I have had for quite some time a 42" Plasma "Enhanced Definition" television. I have to say that ofcourse, this was a huge improvement. The quality of picture is absolutely amazing with Blu-ray and Playstation 3 Games. Game mode offers what some televisions can't, and that's an excellent response time while gaming and I have played several games and not noticed even the slightest "lag" while playing from controller response.
Also, all the horror stories about Standard Definition not looking that great isn't true. We have this television about 10-12 feet from our couch and while Standard Definition doesn't at all look like High-Def there's no noticible grain at that distance and looks great. However if you move closer (about 5 feet or less) to the television you do see the image start smearing, but you don't want to be watching this television that close anyway due to eye-strain issues according to the manual.
My only concern with the television (as with all Rear projection sets) is the viewing angle. If sitting at eye level with the television picture quality is bright, vibrant, sharp, and amazing. But even standing up from the couch and looking down at the set dims the picture and lessens the quality. Obviously not too much of an issue since most of the time spent watching it is on the couch, but where our love seat is positioned (a bit further off to one side) the telvision is almost unwatchable.
Sound quality is great, we'd moved our surround sound set into our bedroom with our old T.V. waiting to get a new surround sound set for our living room, and in the meantime just using the speakers built in the television make for excellent sound. I've turned it up to about 65-70% volume and not heard any crackling or popping, and the SRS true surround while not as good as a speaker set, is impressive from two 10 watt speakers.
The delivery was icing on the cake for me. Ordered directly through amazon for $1179 no tax, no shipping charges, and not only was this set delivered right to my door but the delivery man brought it up my stairs into my home and put it on my entertainment center, hooked it up and made sure that the picture and sound worked, and offered to take the box away and dispose of it. I did not have to "stay on" the delivery service, as the moment it arrived in my area I received a phone call setting up a delivery date. It was about 7 days from the time I ordered the set until the time it was delivered.
I will never hesitate buying something like this from Amazon again. It was a great experience, the cheapest cost for this television I had ever seen anywhere else. I hope no one else hesitates about buying from Amazon either, as I can assure you, you won't regret it.

Comment: I have had this for about 3 weeks now and I have to say that I am very satisfied so far. I've been eyeing this TV and reading every review for the past 5 months and it paid off. The factory speakers with the TV aren't as bad as some people make them out to be (but of course it's better to connect it to a home theatre system to watch dvds).
The picture quality is definitely something to see! (especially when I connect it to my xbox 360.. you can actually see the sweat flying off the player's face after they make a thunderous dunk). I didn't regret this purchase and neither will you..No cons that I have noticed so far.
I got this deliverd by Eagle (or CV Logistics). The TV actually came a week in advance and the delivery guys helped me put the TV on the stand and waited until I tested it to see if it was working. I give them 5 stars as well.. MAKE SURE you call them as soon as they pick up the TV from the warehouse. I stayed on top of them and got the TV a full week in advance. I found their number in one of the reviews.. Sorry don't know it off hand..
