Summary: Very Nice for Bedroom!
Comment: I bought this for my wife on Xmas and I must say we are very happy with the televison so far! ( about a month old now ). I have the 42' HP-T4254 Plasma Samsung in the livingroom, which Is simply amazing. This tv is just as good. I hooked it up with an HDMI Monster cable through our Explorer Cable box ( IO Digital). All the HD channels are amazing, gorgeous sharp and the colors are vibrant. I paid around $499.00 for it, but next to all the other TV's even the Sonys this tv looked 10 times better!
You will not be dissappointed with it!

Summary: Awesome 2nd TV, Great Picture--only 1 drawback
Comment: My husband has been trying to get me to buy a new TV for our bedroom. I couldn't say 'no' anymore, as the colors in the old TV were going bad (is that person supposed to be that color?)
Anyway, we decided on this TV b/c of the reviews and features (as stated by other reviewers).
The ONLY drawback is that it does not display the closed captions when it is on 'HDMI' source. The only reason this is a drawback for me is that we used to put the CC on if the other person was asleep.
Aside from that, I love this TV. Wish I would have gotten it sooner---but don't tell my husband ;-)

Summary: Outstanding quality, highly recommended
Comment: After much research I settled on this as a replacement for an earlier Samsung 19" HDTV-ready LCD TV (for which I paid double the price of this 23" set back in the day). I'm totally blown away. Setup was a snap, from opening the box to watching TV took 5-10 minutes. Picture quality with my analog cablebox signal was fine, obviously not DTV quality but being an analog signal that was to be expected. But local HDTV using the native tuner was unbelievably good: sharp, detailed and with very little blurring in action shots, even at close range viewing. Using a good powered external HD antenna is a huge help in avoiding urban signal blips (buy a Terk model from Amazon!).
I was happy with the sound quality as well, adequate for me in a small space---the Dolby SRS is a big plus. The only minus is that Motorola cableboxes don't seem to work with Samsung remotes, but I'm used to using the cable remote anyway. In short, this is a marvelous HDTV with outstanding Samsung quality and value. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for this size LCD TV.

Comment: Great tv have the samsung 46" also. Great picture quality and features. Do not have hdtv box hooked up to 23" just digital signal, which we are using in the bedroom , but are receiving local channels in high def because of tuner. The 46" is hooked up to hd box and is awesome. Would reccommend this product.

Summary: Amazing HDTV!
Comment: This is truly an outstanding TV. It's probably the best 23" LCD TV on the market. A friend of mine has the "better" Samsung LN-T2353H TV and I think the picture looks just as good on mine. I bet they have the same display panel, just different cases and little features. Besides, this TV is cooler looking than the 53 series anyway, especially with the speakers on the side and no weird bulge underneath. It is an easy TV to get set up: just get it on the stand; plug in your devices; plug it in; and go! One thing that I've seen some people complain about is the quality of Standard Definition (480i) images. The issue here is that the contrast is simply set too high. The default setting is 100 (all the way up). Lower the contrast a bit and adjust the brightness to your liking for SDTV viewing and you'll be just fine. It even remembers different settings for different inputs, you can have have the contrast way up high for your DVDs and lower for your SDTV and the TV will retain your settings (which is very nice; my old TV did not do this). The built in speakers are nice, but are no match for a true Component Home Theater system. They're great with HDMI though, because of the excellent quality of digital audio. The TV has a melody feature which plays a little beeping sound when you turn it on. This is definitely going to be a love it or hate it type of thing, but the good news is that you can turn it off. The TV also has no lights that display while viewing it. There is a stand by light, but this only goes on when the TV is off. To sum it up - this is a spectacular TV with great features and that is easy to use with great manuals and directions. Do yourself a favor, buy it. I've done the research, and it's the best TV you're going to find in the 20-26" HDTV, 450-650 Dollar Range. You'll love it - my whole family does.
