Summary: not well designed, thought out
Comment: I have always been a believer in buying the stand that goes with the TV and never had a problem. This stand does look good and fits well with my 56" Samsung.
But issues include:
1) Stand is not deap enough. I do not have super high end componets or anything and they hang off the front of the stand
2)The glass shelves are not near strong enough. They are sagging and again my compentes are not high end. For someone that has a heavy amp this stand is not an option.
3) The whole stand leans forward and I really thought at first the whole thing was going to tip over. I shimmed up the front of the stand and that seemed to solve the problem.

Summary: Not for a 61 inch television
Comment: Nice stand but poorly made for a 61 inch television. It works for up to 50inches but then is very unstable for anything over. It was a waste of 250 dollars because I need a new one.

Summary: Samsung TR-X3BX Fits the Samsung DLP Nicely
Comment: This is the best looking stand at a fraction of the store stock prices for alternatives. The contours fit the Samsung DLP Projection Tv nicely and the stand is slightly smaller than the footprint of the TV. It's adjustable to 3 sizes and I used the largest setting for my 61" DLP TV. The parts are black enamel on wood and smoked glass and they are very stylish. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble the stand. Perfect choice for your Samsung DLP

Summary: Overall a Very Nice Stand
Comment: After reading every review on Amazon I could find on this stand, I decided to purchase it for my 56" DLP Samsung TV. Even though there were a couple negative reviews, I thought the good reviews outweighed the bad ones. I'm glad I did. The stand arrived earlier than expected and in perfect condition with absolutely no scratches or defects whatsoever (with the exception of one missing lock washer out of 26 total.) The stand (when still inside the box) is a little heavier than I had originally thought, but not so heavy that I wasn't able to move it around during installation. When fully assembled, the stand looks very nice and appears to be quite sturdy. "Mr. Home Improvement" is NOT my middle name, but even so, it only took me about an hour and a half to assemble the whole stand by myself and that's even after reading all the instructions. You will need two Phillips screwdrivers (one large Phillips to tighten the cams and one small Phillips to tighten the cam bolts.) There is also a hex key included for the remaining bolts. One of the reviews I read said there was a mistake in Step 3 of the assembly instructions, but I found no such mistake in my instructions, so it must have been corrected by the manufacture. Another review I read said the top shelf was not very strong when attached to the rest of the stand. I do agree with that statement. The top shelf is assembled together but is really only fastened to the rest of the stand by five cam bolts and cams along with a metal support. And since this stand is very heavy, it is not intended to be lifted and moved around by grabbing onto the top shelf. The weight of the stand could separate the top shelf from the rest of the stand. But the construction doesn't pose any problem with the TV sitting on the top shelf as designed (as the weight of the TV applies downward pressure.) For this reason, I suggest assemblying the stand as close as possible to its final destination so you don't have to move it around a lot after it's assembled. The top shelf is made of wood and both the middle and bottom shelves are glass. The two glass shelves are 15.75" deep, so if you've got any piece of equipment bigger than that, it will stick out. I do wish the height distance between the three shelves was a little higher, also. The distance between the top of the bottom shelf and the bottom of the middle shelf is only 10.5" high and the distance between the top of the middle shelf and the bottom of the top shelf is only 6.75" high. Also, there is a 50 lb. weight limit on both the middle and bottom shelves and a 100 lb. weight limit (for the TV) on the top shelf. All in all, I think the stand looks very nice, is sturdy and should suit my needs for a long time.

Summary: Great stand, doesn't sag, directions are now correct
Comment: I bought a 61" Samsung DLP along with this stand. I was a bit skeptical with the comments about "sagging" in the middle, but let me tell you that this is the PERFECT stand for their line of 50/56/61" DLPs. It took me about 1-1.5 hours to assemble (taking my time) but the directions are very clear and NOW CORRECT so everything about the incorrect references to screws seems to have been updated. This is a deal and you should check it out if you are picking up one of the Samsung DLPs. Many places are offering "package" deals if you buy it with the TV. I know Vann's was one of these dealers.
