Summary: Do not ever, EVER buy this TV
Comment: I bought this TV a year ago from Best Buy. At first, I was greatly impressed. The picture was great, the sound quality was great, it was turning out to be a great buy.
Now, however, the TV shuts off randomly, sometimes within seconds of turning it on. I took it to Best Buy, but the warranty had expired, only parts were covered. They wanted half the initial cost of the TV to fix it WITHOUT the parts. I declined.
For those of you who have the money to recycle televisions every year, then buy this TV. Those of you who are looking for a long-term investment, however, should look elsewhere!

Summary: Great value, but with one quirk
Comment: The picture quality is fine, the stereo sound is decent, and for the money it's a good value. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. My only issue is that after about an hour and a half into a DVD a green spot appears just left of the center of the screen and continues to grow. This is even more pronounced when the DVD remains on pause. This is easily fixed by turning the TV off for a couple of minutes and then turning it back on. Not the biggest issue, but I'm thinking of seeing if I can get this fixed at Best Buy where it's still under the store's warranty.

Summary: Great looking 24" w/ excellent sound & picture quality for the price
Comment: In short, I have to say this product's a great buy for the price, especially considering it's a 24" flat screen that has great sound & picture quality and a sleek, stylish design. Plus, speaking from past experience, Samsung makes great, durable TV's. I'm giving it 4 Stars (instead of 5 Stars) only because I haven't explored all of its features, but I'm very satisfied with my purchase thus far. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants a 'bigger' or decent-sized TV without the intimidating price tag.

Summary: Beware of Hidden Shipping Costs
Comment: Shipping and handling cost me $44 dollars. This only gets this to your curbside and not into your apartment. This was for my disabled uncle who cannot move a 100 lb tv. There are NO steps up to the Elevatored apartment building, but they shipper still wouldn't do it. Contacted Tech Depot and they said it was their standard procedure, but no where on Amazon does it state CURBSIDE shipping only. I filed a claim against Office Depot which is still pending.
I ended up paying the shipper (Pilot Air) $25 cash to bring the TV up. Very unfair practice and Office Depot needs to state this CLEARLY on all of their items that they are selling.

Summary: Mediocre at Best
Comment: The T.V. was purchased with insurance money collected from UPS when they broke a T.V. a relative sent to me. This Samsung was the right size and looked the best when I went to an A.V. store and compared it with others on display. Unfortunately either the Amazon retailer or UPS screwed up again and this T.V. came dinged up with small dents on the upper right and left front casing and there was a small gouge in the perforated plastic in front of the right speaker. I had to take the plastic shell off and screw it back on to align it properly (the grey top was warped such that it did not lay flush with the black screen casing).
I should note that the T.V. itself works only moderately well. There are frequently discolored ovals in the center left and right about 1 inch wide and 3 inches high. This effect is only noticeable in some backgrounds with normal reception but is much more frequent when watching dvds. If I had an easy way of getting a replacement I certainly would have. I'm just fed up with dealing with UPS and was willing to settle for being ripped off.
