Summary: Really Nice !!
Comment: Have had this LCD TV for 2 months now and am very happy with the quality picture it produces (especially in HD). I have a DVR connected via HDMI cable and optical output going into surround sound system. If you are going to wall mount, it does take a little effort to remove the stand. You also have to be careful lifting the unit due to the gap between the speaker and the bottom of the TV. Much lighter than a plasma and gives off less heat too. With the recent price drop, this is an outstanding deal !

Summary: Best LCD TV Around
Comment: I have owned both LCDs this year - the popular Samsung LN52A650 and the Sony KDL52W4100. I have no hesitation in saying that I prefer the Sony way better than the Samsung. Here's why:
Plus:
- Amazing picture quality - natural colors, amazing black levels, sharpness, clarity on SD broadcasts
- Superior motion enhancement (Motionflow) even on high setting. (superior to Samsung A650 AMP)
- Stylish looks and design
- Decent speakers although I prefer to use my external home theater speakers
- Semi-matte screen reduces glare
Minus:
- Menu layout cumbersome (too much vertical scrolling)
- No remote backlight
- No swivel stand
The minuses are minor issues that I can live with. Overall this is one of the best TVs you can buy at a fair price.
Highly recommended!!

Summary: Awesome Sony 52W4100
Comment: This TV is awesome. Well packaged, easy set up(stand already attached). Picture is amazing for all types (hd, standard def, blue ray). I have tried other brands and Sony is the best. I waited for the 52XBR6 to come out to compare, but I think the picture is better on this one. Seems brighter, better view from angles (and whiter), and much cheaper. The XBR screen seemed a bit more shiny also. The w4100 screen is a little more shiny that some cheaper models but much less than the high end Samsungs and the Plasmas. For now close to 2K this is a great deal.
The flowmotion 120HZ is worth the extra money. Works well especially for TV and sports. I like it on the mid setting for movies, but my son likes it off? So that is a personal preference.
Only slight negative is maybe the stand does not seem that sturdy.. I wonder how the TV would hold up in an earthquake?
Now at least I can stay home and see some great TV, sports, and movies on my 52" SONY LCD... **** the economy.

Summary: Defective upon receipt
Comment: This TV arrived defective upon receipt. The box looked flawless, but it was dropped or something went wrong somewhere. The screen would blink in and out. Audio generally worked, but would not occassionally. Contacted Sony hotline. Did some gymnastics and convinced them the TV was set up correctly. Got permission to use local service company for warranty work. Needs new LCD panel and board. Parts out of stock. This is the 6th week and no TV yet. I hope this is extremely unusual as I have had good luck with Sony in the past.

Summary: I can't imagine a better picture!
Comment: The best picture quality I've ever seen! Mine is hooked up to my Alienware 'Hanger 18' DVR/Computer with a Blu-ray burner. I don't even bother going to the theater any more--I just wait till they come out on Blu-ray, and I'm FAR more comfortable at home. The 52" HD screen of the Bravia in my small studio apartment may as well be the big screen at the theater--in fact, it is MUCH better!
