Summary: Works great, excellent price
Comment: You can't beat this learning remote for less than $20! I won't repeat the other reviews except to say that it works well for me, and has plenty of memory to learn new IR for every button in every mode.
At this price, I bought a few of them and now every room has ONE remote, and they all work the same.

UPDATE: In retrospect, the output is somewhat weak compared with the original remote controls. Also, it tends to repeat learned remote commands - like if you program "fast forward", unless you press the FF button really quick when programming it may go forward twice into "really fast forward" mode. Also learned keys, such as a volume control, can't be held down to repeat - they fire once per click. A previous remote I had worked more smoothly than this.
At this point I would downgrade my rating to a "3".

Summary: A versatile and easy-to-use remote
Comment: In shopping for a universal remote, I knew that my old TV may not accept a new remote's signals. I wanted something that I was reasonably confident would work with a variety of brands and components, but didn't want to pay alot in case it didn't work. There are many models on the market far less costly, and many that are more expensive. I chose the Sony because of the reliable name, and the moderate price. Ten minutes after I unpacked it, I had it working with my Sanyo TV! It is everything I hoped for, and more. Directions are consise, easy to read, and follow. There is nothing I would complain about: it works fine, looks good, and easy to use. I highly recommend this device to you.

Comment: Great product at an affordable price. With the 'learning' function, controls all my equipment - TV, receiver (including audio), cable, dvd, cd AND Apple TV! My 3-4 remotes are now just one. The learning function is easy to use and totally works. This is a great product - highly recommended!

Comment: I was expecting to have to teach this remote how to interact with my devices because I didn't see my television brand on the code list (Westinghouse)... but it worked with both the Westinghouse 42" LCD and my Sony amp right out of the box with no configuration at all. Hell yes!

Summary: Does everything I need, for cheap!
Comment: I bought this remote after my Sony stereo remote died and I broke my Sony DVD player remote. It worked with those two items right out of the box. After entering the appropriate codes, I got it to work with my VCR and TV as well (a Panasonic and a Toshiba). The learning function was very useful, and it wasn't hard to program at all. I spent less than an hour to get it all up and running, including teaching it some of the more obscure functions of my VCR. I liked it so much that I'm buying a second one for my family room TV and VCR.
