Comment: Please see my review of the associated IR-100 receiver module. The IR-350 is an excellent sensor, which is very inconspicuous when mounted in a cabinet panel (or in my case, a Radio Shack 4" x 2" x1" black plastic project box). Highly recommended.

Comment: I've had the Buffalo Electronics IR-350 installed in my entertainment system for a couple years now and it has worked flawlessly. I use their IR-100 IR Receiver as the distribution block, and I've got four IR-E1 IR Flashers going to my various components.
It works well with the individual component remotes, as well as my new Logitech Harmony universal remote.

The IR-350 is a 1/2” diameter, high performance, voltage regulated receiver tube that placed in many discrete locations. It features a built-in terminal block connector for easy wiring up to 16 gauge. The IR-350 can receive Ir signals up to 40 ft. in ambient light, and has an acceptance angle of 130º. It installs in any standard 1/2" mounting hole and offers a flashing confirmation LED when it receives a signal. Tube receivers offer many installation options to achieve a clean and uncluttered look. A daylight filter lens and clear lens are included along with all installation hardware.
