Summary: Firmware/hardware problem over time
Comment: Beware that the TV will work beautifully initially but will degrade rather quickly over time. Customer support is also not very knowledgeable.
I have an older version of this TV WD-73727 for over 2 years now and I have to hit the reset button more and more now in order to get the HD tuner to operate. Sometimes the TV would lock up unless the reset button is pressed. Sometimes the TV would not get certain channels unless the reset button is pressed. Sometimes the TV would not get any HD channels at all unless the reset button is pressed. Right now I need to do this about twice a week.
After a while this gets pretty annoying waiting for the TV to reboot. I called customer support to ask for a firmware upgrade as I suspect that it might be a firmware bug since after the reset button is pressed everything works fine. Ended up with an argument with customer support person who claims to know the TV and says that I cannot receive HD signals over the antenna which is clearly false. I never got any firmware from them.
Buy this TV at your own risk. Beautiful when it works. Annoying otherwise.

Comment: Great TV. Was a bit worried when i placed this order, but i must say it was worth every dollar. Love the clear picture quality and good sound.
Was also very happy with whole shipping procedure. It arrived on schedule, was brought inside and set up where i wanted it and packaging was removed. Once they made sure it worked, all i had to do was sign the paper, sit back and enjoy!

Comment: We have had this superb TV for over a month now and it exceeds all our expectations. If you have the room and the money, this is a winner. We watched daily for the best price (it changes nearly every day) and got it for $2,750. We would have paid more so we are very happy. HD on this machine is awesome.

Summary: If you can afford it, BUY this TV.
Comment: I bought this television from another site and after receiving the TV, it has done nothing but EXCEED my expectations. This is one of the largest TVs out there, if not "the" largest and it's picture is simply amazing. I have owned this tv for almost a year now and I haven't experienced a single issue with it. Watching Blu-Ray on this tv is truly a treat and both my PS3 and Xbox 360 look amazing. Even my Nintendo Wii looks great on this tv. The add ons of this tv are very user friendly and switching from inputs could not be easier with the input selection screen used with this tv.

Summary: Blue lights gone out.
Comment: I have just bought one in April 2008 the blue lights dont work anymore. It takes about 45sec's for the picture to appear other then that its great. Anybody had any problems with the Blue lights? Thinking about getting a DVD up converter. Can anyone tell me how well do they work with these WD-73833 73inch? Thanks GB
