Comment: Yes there is a slight humm...but not real noticeable...the product has a fabulous picture...only problem I had was with a couple HDMI sources (my Apple TV would only do 1080i if I hooked up via component - would not work under HDMI.)... But other than that...its a GREAT TV.

Summary: Mitsubishi Scraping the Bottom!
Comment: Mitsubishi once positioned itself on the upper scale of quality video and television products. No more. It's questionable if their DLP sets can genuinely produce a 1080p picture as advertised and their customer service and customer relations is pure garbage. Don't touch this or any other Mitsubishi Television product with a 10-pole. You'll be taken and you'll be sorry. Sony, Samsung and Sharp offer superior products and customer service. Mitsubishi has fallen to the bottom of the heap.

Summary: Probably the best TV out there for the price, but its got some quirks.
Comment: The first thing we looked for in a TV was the picture, and mitsubishi really hit the nail on the head there, the colors are beautiful, however quite substantial motion lag is noticed. I liked the picture of the Samsung DLPs more, but they were also considerably more expensive.

I have hooked my laptop up to the screen via the PC connection and the picture is AMAZING, but have not tried out the usb input yet. The number of HDMI's is fine for me. The interface is pretty good, it is simple to switch between inputs and the sound is OK, but as some other reviewers have said, some fiddling with it is necessary.

The fan is quite obnoxious if you are close to the TV, but at a regular sitting distance for this TV(about 15-20 feet) It is not noticeable. I have never been bothered by the sound of the cooling fan other than when I go back behind the TV to connect something. It is quite loud then, and the fan is really quite forceful, it blasts hot air out of the left hand side and kept blowing things off of a shelf we had next to it. This leads me to question how the TV would operate without the ventilated location it has in my home, and that it might easily overheat.

The one thing that I really dislike about this TV is that the bulb burnt out after only 8 months of use. We sent for a new one under its one year warranty and it shipped actually quite quickly. So their customer support was impressive, but I just don't understand why the bulb on this one doesn't last. We had another DLP TV before this one and the bulb on on that one never burnt out. I can only hope that the new one doesn't burn out because by that time it will be out of warranty and these bulbs run for around $250. Yikes!!!

Summary: Poor color tuning & a hum
Comment: I bought this Mitsubishi to replace a smaller Sony HDTV and had it for three days before returning it. There were two problems:

First the TV cast a very noticable blue cast on dark colors including people's hair, walls, and virtually anything dark. There is little black or gray. There are three factory settings for color adjustment: Brilliant the default factory setting, which cast the blue cast, bright, and natural. The best picture is the brilliant, and to get rid of the the blue one has to go to a very dim "natural" picture. If I wanted to watch a dim picture I could buy a used standard definition TV for virtually nothing. The set has great color controls, but no matter what I did, including lowering the blue drive I could not get rid of the problem.

The hum many others have commented on starts out low and after an hour is very noticable. I had no such problems with the Sony, and I also have a Samsung, both of which had no problems like this.

I bought a Toshiba 65" to replace the Mitsubishi, and I could immediately tell the picture was going to be great.

Comment: THIS IS A GREAT TV, I HAD DISH NETWORK HD INSTALLED AND WOW WHAT A PICTURE I HAVE READ SOME OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT THE HUMMING NOISE BUT I DONT GET THAT NOISE AND THE PICTURE ON JUST RABBIT EARS IS SUPERB AS WELL.
