The PT-51D30 is Panasonic's least expensive 51-inch analog rear-projection TV (RPTV). It includes such picture-enhancing features as a 3-line digital comb filter and digital convergence, which combine to help reduce dot crawl, moir? and color bleeding. A wideband video amplifier extends frequency response and improves on-screen detail and resolution. The dual-tuner picture-in-picture function permits you to view two channels simultaneously without the aid of a connected VCR.A set of component video inputs is provided for connection to a similarly outfitted DVD player; a single S-video jack and two A/V inputs accommodate other video sources. Camcorder users and video gamers will appreciate the A/V inputs on the front panel. Along with an MTS stereo tuner, the PT-51D30 includes Spatializer 3D simulated surround sound. An "Artifical Intelligence" sound control automatically adjusts the bass and treble to suit the program. For home theater use, fixed- and variable-level audio outputs allow use with an external audio system. A lighted universal remote control is also included with this TV.
