With their single chassis and compact, foldable design, Sony's 2-watts-per-channel SRS-T88 speakers will travel easily, wherever you go. A supplied world-voltage AC/DC power adapter even lets you take the speakers overseas without worrying about excessive battery consumption.

The speakers' 1.3-inch (34 mm) neodymium magnets produce high energy output for impressive speaker movement, power, and sonic accuracy, giving you remarkably good sound from speakers occupying little more space than a CD case. A dynamic sound duct (bass port) uses space within the housing--plus additional space within the battery compartment--to maximize low-frequency output for reasonably full bass reproduction. Not enough? Kick in the unit's Mega Bass circuit for a boost.

The SRS-T88 is magnetically shielded to avoid interference when placed near or atop a TV, laptop computer, or monitor. The speakers' two-way power supply permits operation using 4 AA batteries (not included) or the supplied world-voltage adapter (compatible with AC 100V to 240V). The unit weighs approximately 9 ounces (without batteries) or 12 ounces (including batteries).
