Comment: Two different Tivo HD units I have tried reset their tuners every 4 hours which causes it to stop recording (partial show record) or to lose buffered pause time. The reset is not a full unit reset, it takes less than a minute for this "tuner" reset at which time both tuners go gray screen then come back on what ever channel tuner 1 was on (more proof of not a full reset is if you turn on Tivo's clock display they both come back up with the clock still displaying, a box reset would turn the clock display off). The reset can also cause the gray screen issue (screen is gray only on the channel you are watching, all other channels are OK). Tivo would love for me to believe I am the only one having this problem but the truth is this is common. I am going to return my unit and wait for the day/month/year Tivo finally resolves this issue before I buy another. Until then I am going to use the cable company's dual tuner HD DVR box instead.

Comment: for the Tivo brand wi-fi adapter. This unit doesn't accept any other brand of USB wi-fi adapter. Never mind that the earlier Tivo's did. Never mind that 802.11x is an international standard and all compliant units provide the same functionality.
This is bald-faced profit-gouging. I thought the Tivo brand was better than this.

Summary: Great product
Comment: I got sick of paying for direct TV, so I got this and a large over air antenna. Now I pay for the shows I want on amazon, and get the rest for free. It will take me a couple of months to recoup the cost, but not that many. It has great recording quality, and if your TV is like mine, and you need to buy an HD receiver to get HD, this has it built in, while a plane receiver would normally cost around 150-200 anyway.
This will not work with Direct tv, so be careful there. over air and cable only.

Comment: What can I say. This is my second TiVo HD. It is the only way to watch HD TV, and now I can watch a program on one TiVo that was recorded on the other. I highly recommend.

Comment: I'm a long time TiVo user and I wanted this new HD TiVo for the following reasons
* To get rid of my cable set top box, it was hot, only allowed me to record one digital channel at a time and required IR switching
* To be able to view HD programming on my standard definition TV.
The HD Tivo does both of these things. The cable company muttered about having to install a cable card but they did it and it went smoothly and quickly. I can now record two of any channel at a time and view the programing on my TV. It also gave me a digital audio out which provides surround sound on programs that are broadcast with it.
