Comment: I haven't actually had the guts to use this thing in public, but it did indeed turn off my tv at home, change channels, program itself. I think the peace of mind just knowing I can turn off Oprah next time I'm at the car service place is well worth the 5 bucks, even if I never use it.

Comment: I bought this remote so I could mess with my teachers during class. I have only been able to get it to work with a few televisions. The channel up/down buttons do not work on mine. Although it has been good at making my dad extremely mad. He can't figure out why his new TV keeps turning off.
